Registration

How much does it cost to attend? 
Symposium Admission Fee is $20 per person. 

Do I have to be a member of NHA to attend the briefs, panels, or walk the Exhibit Hall floor?
No. Membership is not required to attend the professional meetings and walk the exhibit floor. But there is an Admission Fee of $20. 

Do I have to be a member of NHA to attend ticketed Symposium events?
Yes. Membership is required for ticketed events like the Welcome Reception and Member's Reunion. You can register as an NHA member on the Symposium Registration Form. 

Can you just sign me up over the phone?
No, all registrations must be submitted through our online registration form. If you have trouble, call NHA at 619-435-7139.

I am already registered. How do I make changes to my registration form?
Changes to registration cannot be made online. Email membership or call 619-435-7139 prior to May 5, 2018.

Is there a cancellation/refund policy?
The NHA Cancellation Policy is as follows:  

  1. Each event registration is assigned a deadline date. Check the event information page for deadline details. Refunds are available up to two weeks prior to event. After this date you may send an alternate to the event without additional charge. To request a cancellation or to make a change please send an email to Member Services at membership@navalhelicopterassn.org.
  2. Refunds, less a 3% cancellation fee, will be given for cancellations received in writing to membership@navalhelicopterassn.org up to two weeks prior to event. Following this date, NHA will issue a credit for use towards another event within one year. Refunds will be processed within 48 business hours upon receipt [allow longer processing time during Symposium]. Refunds requested after the event will not be refunded, nor credit given.
  3. Exceptional circumstances, such as but not limited to: emergency deployments, detachments, medical emergencies, and/or other special cases may be refunded on a case by case basis. Contact with the NHA Member Services must be made as soon as possible to receive a refund.
  4. Donations made to the NHA Scholarship and Historical Society Fund are non-refundable. 

Can I sign up on site?
You may purchase admission to the briefs, panels, Exhibit Hall, and Member's Only Events at the Registration Booth at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel beginning Tuesday, May 15, 0800. Pre-registration pricing ends May 9, 2017. Symposium and Social Event registration on-site will be subject to the regular registration fees. What payment types do you accept?
NHA accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover payments with online and on-site registrations. Personal checks (made out to NHA) are accepted only with corporate exhibitor applications. Cash accepted on site.

The Courtyard Norfolk Downtown has a limited number of rooms at the prevailing government per diem rate and a limited number of rooms for $119.00/per night. Please contact the hotel directly and mention you are traveling on TAD.

Travel

Is there a NALO?
A NALO from/to Jacksonville, FL has been approved. The schedule is: 
14 May, seats for 89/96 personnel available Depart KRNB, 1255L Arrive KNTU, 1518L
17 May, seats for 96/96 personnel available Depart KNTU, 1800L Arrive KNRB, 1926L

Is there shuttle bus service?
No. There is no shuttle service available to the Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel from area locations. Attendees should arrange for their own transportation. 

Is there a cost to park at the hotel?
All Day VIP Parking for the Symposium Flag Officers and Captains of Industry Panelists is in the Waterside Garage and parking validation tickets (with in-out privileges) will be available at the NHA Registration booth.

Special Event All Day Parking is available for all other attendees (06 and below) at the MacArthur Center South Garage and a validation ticket can be purchased at the NHA Registration booth for $1.00 (a $5.00 value) with no in-out privileges.

People staying at the hotel can park in the Main Street Garage.


 On-Site

There’s only an hour left and I just want to see one exhibitor/brief/panel. Can I just run in to see them?
No. Not without paying the on-site Attendance fee.

I left my badge at home, can I get a new one?
Yes, at the Registration Booth for an administrative fee of $5. 

How do I get a swag bag?
Swag Bags will be available to the first 500 Pre-Registered attendees

What are my on-site dining options?
Complimentary coffee and pastries are available each morning. The following are Social Dining Events you may register for: 
Monday: O'Connor's Welcome Reception
Tuesday: Awards Luncheon
Wednesday: Member's Reunion
The Waterside Norfolk Marriott Hotel has onsite restaurants that are open to Event Attendees. 


 

Attire

Officers:  Flight Suits, Unit golf shirt or equivalent business casual with command logo (must have a collar).  Unit Hawaiian shirts are ok.  
Enlisted:  Flight Suits or Uniform of the Day 
Civilians/Booth Personnel:  Business Casual - Sport Shirt/Slacks (Jacket and Tie/Suit not Required) 
Flag Panel:  Flight Suits 
Captains of Industry Panel:  Business Attire
Awardees:  Flight Suits
Wingers:  Summer Whites/Class B's
Coast Guard: Tropical Blue Long if you do not have a flight suit.
