2008 NHA SYMPOSIUM AIRCREW COMPETITION SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: APRIL 16, 2008. Each team will be provided a course map and general course description prior to race start. There will be several task check- points throughout the course that must be completed by the entire team. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: -RFT or RFI Medevac Litter -Navy issue floatation (LPU-28/TRI-SAR) -Camel back or Water bottle -PT gear: Shorts, Squadron or Team T-shirt, Running shoes OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: -Wet suit (April average water temp. 55-60 F) -Sweat Suit -Swim Goggles or Dive Mask COST: $15.00 PER TEAM MEMBER ($60.00 PER TEAM). Each team member will receive an event T-shirt, BBQ lunch and the honor of competing. Maximum participation is highly encouraged; recommend that Squadrons/Units subsidize theses costs. When you register, you will be asked for the names of the team members and their T- shirt size. Register via the NHA Symposium Registration form, available on the NHA web page (http://www.nhascholars.com/). Multiple teams per command are welcome. This is also great opportunity to become a member of NHA $10.00 for Aircrewmen. Become a proud member today! Non-competitors will be able to purchase lunch for $ 3.00. AWARDS: The first, second and third place teams will receive awards, which they will be able to proudly display at their commands. SAFETY: -No alcoholic beverages will be consumed by competitors and/or event staff during the competition. -A safety/ROE brief will be conducted prior to event start and is mandatory for all competitors. -Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate. A small breakfast will be available for competitors (OJ, fresh fruit and water). Competitors must have a sports bottle or camel back. -This is a beach event / adventure race with a high probability of getting wet and sandy. Bring extra clothes.
